The Field Solutions Sales Associate is responsible for growing our Robotic Total Station and Scanner sales and services.

  • Field Solutions Sales Associate

    BuildingPoint Texas is looking for a full-time Field Solutions Sales Associate to join our team here in Texas. This person’s main goal is to generate new sales of Trimble robotic and scanning equipment and services to the construction industry. The Field Solutions Sales Associate will develop new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, networking, attending regional conferences, and trade-shows as well as deliver software presentations and demos.

    This position requires technical product knowledge, an understanding of construction workflows and processes, along with sales skills to meet assigned sale and service goals to new and established building contractors operating within our territory. This role requires a self­starter capable of generating new leads with the discipline of accurate forecasting and reporting as well as a demonstrable ability to generate an opportunity pipeline while closing current deals.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Prospect for new business and maximize client potential within the territory
    • Generate a pipeline of target opportunities
    • Reach out to take care of existing customers
    • Perform sales demos of at job offices and job sites for the following products:
      • Trimble Robotic Total Stations- 655,773,873,600
      • Spectra Precision QML 800
      • Trimble Data Collectors- Trimble Field Link Tablet, Trimble Field Link 2D, and the LM80 Nomad
      • Trimble Scanners – DPI-8 and the TX8
      • Field Software- Trimble Field Points, Trimble Field Link 2D Office, RealWorks, EdgeWise
    • Deliver technical presentations which demonstrate and enforce the value to clients in terms of productivity, accuracy, quality and return on investment
    • Calculate client proposals as well as negotiating and closing sales by setting/agreeing on terms and conditions
    • Prepare reports for management using Salesforce software
    • Update & maintain client contact data within Salesforce
    • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, road shows, conferences and other marketing events as required growth in both areas
    • Work with the office solutions sales team to devise an appropriate strategy for cooperation to deliver growth in both areas.

    Core Competencies:

    • Technical competency with construction positioning, layout, 3D scanning, and asset management for QA/QC etc., and multiple software platforms after initial trainings
    • Strong knowledge of targeted client prospects and applications for building construction Target prospects are general contractors, construction managers, concrete contractors, structural steel contractors, interior finishing contractors, supervisors, equipment managers, layout/survey crews etc.
    • Time and territory management skills
    • Skilled with computers, mobile devices, common business applications, and CRM
    • Assisting with post­sales client training and support services as needed
    • Present a professional and positive company image at all times that model the company values
    •  “Can do” attitude, with a proactive approach to client relationship development and prospecting
    • Basic CAD and design software skills a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    DESIRED  BACKGROUND

    • 4 year college degree or industry equivalent
    • 5 years of experience in construction or related industry
    • Experience in “solution sales” (i.e. bringing together different technologies and resources to deliver a significant business change to the client organization)
    • Mechanical and educational aptitude to maintain and improve understanding of the application and products targeted at the building construction market

  • Software Sales Associate

    BuildingPoint Texas is looking for a full-time Software Sales Associate in the Dallas- Fort Worth metroplex. This person’s main goal is to generate new sales of BuildingPoint’s software solutions for the construction industry. The Software Sales Associate will develop new business opportunities for our estimating and project management software solutions through lead generation, cold calling, networking, attending regional conferences, and trade-shows as well as deliver high-level software presentations and demos.

    This position requires technical product knowledge, an understanding of construction workflows and processes, along with sales skills to meet assigned sale and service goals to new and established building contractors operating within our territory. This role requires a self­starter capable of generating new leads with the discipline of accurate forecasting and reporting as well as a demonstrable ability to generate an opportunity pipeline while closing current deals.

    In a typical day, the Software Sales Associate might:

    • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
    • Provide product demonstrations both via the web and in person. 
    • Follow up on new leads, referrals, and customer inquiries that come in on the phone or online.
    • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts that include add-ons and license additions.
    • Work with the Marketing team to plan and execute marketing strategies such as email campaigns, promotions, and events. 
    • Maintain up to date records and manage your sales pipeline in Salesforce and provide weekly updates. 
    • Attend and present at industry trade shows and conventions. 

    The Software Sales Associate is good at:

    • Demonstrating strong sales skills and consistently meeting and exceeding annual sales quotas.
    • Demonstrating a product in an effective and professional presentation manner.
    • Selling software, especially in the construction industry.
    • Learning quickly and able to develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge for
